Hi, I’m Robert Wittenberg and I’ve been the Oakland County Treasurer since July 1, 2021. Prior to that, I served as State Representative for southern Oakland County for three terms. I love helping people, and that is why I am in public service. I ran for Treasurer to continue serving and helping the people of Oakland County, and that is exactly what we do every day in our office.

At the State Capitol, I served as the Vice-Chair on both the House Financial Liability Reform Committee and the Insurance Committee for two terms. I also served as a member of the House Tax Policy Committee and House Financial Services Committee.

I was always up to the challenge in Lansing, taking on big issues.

And I have been up to the challenge in Pontiac.

I believe an effective public servant should be both fiscally responsible and socially conscious. That is why, as Treasurer, I have been a compassionate steward of resources for all residents across Oakland County.

As Treasurer, my goals have been protecting the financial security of all Oakland County residents and ensuring the success of our Oakland County businesses. I work every day to safeguard taxpayer dollars, improve property values and prevent foreclosures. Our office has helped prevent thousands of foreclosures, keeping families in their homes and businesses open.

We also created the Oakland County Land Bank Authority to bring new economic opportunities to all communities across our county. Furthermore, we updated the investment policy for the first time in over 20 years to provide more flexibility in an ever-changing market.

My wife and I both grew up in Oakland County, and we are raising our family here because we love this community and believe the future is bright.

I want to make sure that Oakland County remains a place where everyone can be proud to live. With your help, we can ensure Oakland County continues to thrive for decades to come.
